Richard (Rick) Lavelle founded Creador Architecture after working for 30 years in the design & construction industry. His body of work covers the full spectrum of commercial work. From Office Buildings to Retail Stores and Restaurants, he has worked with many corporate brands across the country.
With a degree in Architectural Technology from Northwest Technical Institute (1986) and an honor graduate of the Navy’s Builder “A” School (1989), Rick has continually been increasing his knowledge base to the benefit of clients and their projects. After receiving his Professional Bachelors of Architecture Degree (1995) from the University of Minnesota, he has actively pursued his passion for building and contributing to the diverse urban environment. He also has received his Certified Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED) Practitioner from Florida Atlantic University.
He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and also holds a Physical Security Professional (PSP) credential through ASIS International. As a member of the ASIS International’s Security Architecture and Engineering Council, he is a volunteer instructor at the annual 3-day Secure Facility Design Seminar as well as creating new courses and content for the members of the security trade association.
Rick has worked on a wide range of project types. Some types include distribution centers, charter schools, daycare centers, assisted living and religious/cultural centers. He also has over 15 years of experience in Secure Asset Facilities (including cash rooms, vaults, coin operations, and armored transfer facilities).
